PreK-3rd grade team rosters are complete.  Also find practice locations and times for all teams by clicking on KIDS ROSTER.  Remember that the new wrestling room is not quite done at Mapleton Jr. High.  So all teams scheduled there should practice at Memorial Hall until that is complete.

Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st graders are at 5:30 Tuesday the 25th at Memorial Hall.

2nd and 3rd graders and parents meet at 7:00 the same night.

Please have wrestlers dressed in shorts and a T-shirt.  Do not walk on mats.  Please enter the West door from the parking.  DO NOT enter the North doors.

Please bring all used wrestling gear that you want to donate, sell, or trade.

Volunteer sign ups will be available also.

Some important changes this week and next:

1.  Practice normal today.  EXTRA PRACTICE TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) from 6:30 to 8:30 at MMHS.  Thursday practice CHANGED TO THE EVENING!!  Thursday 6:30 to 8:30 PM – so don’t show up at 4:00.  Thursday night will also feature guest coaches.  Weigh ins for this weekend will be Thursday night.

2.  This weekend the tournaments are at Bingham and Bear River High Schools.  Our club will be attending Bingham High School because it is closer.  Coaches will be present this weekend but I will be on a scout trip. Remember that registration closes at 4:00 on Thursday.  Please make sure to get registered on time so you don’t have to pay a late fee of $20.00.  Please go to the www.wrestleutah.com site for current flyers and information on tournaments.

3.  Greco state is changed to Mountain View High School the following week.  This is in Orem and will save us all a lot of money in travel.  There is a freestyle tournament on Friday night also at MVHS and only Greco on Saturday.  This is a team scoring event and I encourage our entire team to register.

4.  I am very proud of how everyone is doing.  I am pleased that so many wrestlers are competing on the weekends.  Thanks to everyone for your support.

5.  Remember that the NCAA tournament is this weekend-17th-19th.  Tune in on the web or on TV to get live coverage.  We have three UVU wrestlers competing and 11 Utah kids who are from Utah in this tournament.  It is one of the best showings from Utah ever.  Many are ranked.  This is a glimpse into the future.  Part of our goals for our club is to prepare wrestlers to wrestle at the next level.  This will be many of your sons in a few years.
